Abstract

This research presents a study of history, schools, approaches and fundamentals of geomorphology as contributing to the study of landscape to know the modifications of the relief that model this in the geographic envelope. The methodology used was centered on the consultation of bibliographical sources of three centuries to date with the main exponents in the study of the landscape, where consulted of first order of Gomez (1982), de Bolós (1992), de Pedraza (1996), Mateo (2002), Slaymaker (2009) and Ortiz (2014). The results propose that the geomorphology functions as a connector between the theoretical, conceptual and territorial, in order to understand a constant dynamic-cyclical evolution in terrestrial space, as well as to expose the First notions of a new current that relates the theoretical-systemic notions functional with an applied foundation called geomorphology of the landscape seen as a complementary and indissoluble binomial.
