Abstract

The category territory has been resignified from the social organizations that, from October 2019 to the present, have assembled to debate and claim the urgencies that the Chilean neoliberalism never resolved; but also, to resist the invisibility of hunger and health insecurity in the face of the expansion of COVID 19 in the large cities of Chile. The present manuscript proposes a conceptual renewal from two moments. The rst, to analyze the transformation of the territory from its imperial facet towards the recognition of organized society; and the second, to establish the spatial meaning of legitimacy based
on a new sense of the territorial that does not come from the academy, but from the people recovering their limits. The COVID 18-O concept, which closes this discussion, seeks to represent the assembly of two conjunctures that have allowed the rearticulation of the territorial, giving body to a new stage in the recovery of politics by Chilean citizens.
