A few years ago, Alicia Camilloni and Edith Litwin (1997) defined the field of didactics as a field under construction. From then until today thousands of scientific investigations were carried out that sought to consecrate a “New Didactic Agenda” that surpassed traditional didactics, anchored in technical and scientific paradigms. Since then, discussions on the relationship
between theory and practice have been the focus of multiple publications that have sought to reflect on the teaching work. The present work tries to analyze, through a bibliographic survey, the main contributions that, from the field of didactics, have been made to the discussion on the relationship between theory and practice in order to reflect on the multiple possibilities
that they embody in the teaching universe if they are they constitute and think as elements of educational transformation.
