The present study presents the results of the analysis of the use of the subjunctive in the oral production of a specific group of French-speaking learners of Spanish as a foreign language. The starting point of this research is to determine the cause that produces the main errors in the acquisition of the subjunctive mood in the oral plane; in this way, the acquisition of modal alternation is analyzed and patterns of errors common to French-speaking learners are established. At the same time, the aim is to investigate the degree of systematization of errors in the group in order to check the assimilation of the use of the subjunctive mood in their oral productions.
