Abstract

The genus Crotalaria L. has 12 species in subtropical areas of Argentina. Five species are cited for the first time for the country, of which four are native species: C. balansae Micheli, C. maypurensis Kunth., C. paulina Schrank, and C. tweediana Benth.; and one is an introduced species: C. spectabilis Roth. All species are described and illustrated, including geographical distribution, ecological observations and utilization. A key to differentiate all taxa from Argentina is also included.
