About the Journal

Derecho, Ambiente y Cambio Climático is an open-access academic journal edited by the Center for Law, Environment and Climate Change of the University of Concepción. It is published on a semiannual basis and aims to promote the development of knowledge in the field of environmental and climate law. The Journal provides a space for reflection, analysis, and debate on the most relevant issues in these areas of law, both nationally and internationally, fostering dialogue with other disciplines in the search for effective solutions to contemporary challenges.

It publishes original and unpublished research articles, case law comments, and other current-interest contributions addressing key issues in environmental and climate law, such as environmental protection, climate change mitigation and adaptation, energy transition, environmental justice, and public participation in environmental decision-making, among other topics.

The Journal is supported by an interdisciplinary team of academics and professionals with a strong research track record, committed to the development of the field and guided by strict academic and ethical standards.

Its mission is to provide an agile editorial platform that fosters interdisciplinary dialogue and critical reflection on the evolving legal challenges our society faces in environmental and climate matters. It aspires to be a leading reference in these areas of law by promoting dialogue among academics, professionals, organizations, and decision-makers, in order to advance public policies and legal practices that contribute to finding solutions to environmental problems in a context of climate change.
